You will develop analytical and reporting skills and gain both hands-on and theoretical knowledge of day-to-day accounting concepts. Units included in this course meet the BAS Agent Board registration requirements. This course incorporates the foundations of accounting, including computerised accounting, manual accounting, budgeting, business law, and writing business and financial documents. This course is suitable for anyone looking to get into the financial services field, or who wants to complement their current role with further understanding and learning.

Each unit for this qualification has a minimum of one assessment and a maximum of three assessments. Assessments need to be submitted via Moodle, our online study system. Feedback from the teacher will also be provided via email, your electronic resources or the Moodle platform once available. Each unit will run between 4 and 6 weeks and must be completed within that time unless an extension is granted. Study at this level will require an average self-directed commitment of 6-10 hours per week per subject.
By successfully completing this course you will receive a nationally recognised AQF Qualification.
Once you complete this course you will also meet the education requirements for BAS agent registration.

Full-time: 12 months
This course is delivered via specialist workshops run on campus weekly on Thursday, times may vary. There will also be tutorials on a Tuesday night. This course also includes self-directed online learning.
There are no entry requirements for this course although a certificate III in a financial services area or accounts related work experience would be an advantage. The course uses MYOB for many subjects and so access to computers and an understating of them is also useful.
From 1 January 2019, Free TAFE for Priority Courses is a Victorian Government program that will pay your tuition fees to study in this selected course at Wodonga TAFE, if you’re eligible, subject to minimum numbers.
