Develop your skills for employment within the engineering industry with this pre-apprenticeship course. With successfully completed units, you will gain credits into an apprenticeship in various engineering and manufacturing careers – including general machining and fabrication. It’s a great way of getting your foot in the door, as it shows not only understanding and skills, but a dedication to your chosen trade area.

The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. You will be assessed through a combination of practical work skills and theory testing, through observation, class exercises, participation, written assignments and tests.
By successfully completing this course you will receive an AQF Qualification.

You must be at least 16 years of age to enrol.
You must supply your own safety boots; safety glasses and appropriate flame resistant clothing for workshop activities (not loose clothing as this is an OH&S hazard)
From 1 January 2019, Free TAFE for Priority Courses is a Victorian Government program that will pay your tuition fees to study in this selected course at Wodonga TAFE, if you’re eligible, subject to minimum numbers.
